getting ready for Valentine's date - part 1

To not waist time for biking (1 h in my case) I have decided to stay home. I am writing my thesis so at least in theory it should be possible to do some work from home.

I woke up half past 6 am.

Drunk tea with honey to please my aching throat.

Cleaned a bit my apartment (I mean my one room thing with a kitchen that is super cheap and that is great because saving money is the priority) and gave a second to plan my evening look...

My hair is super-straight and long, and I wanted to do something cute-girly with them for today.

I of course opened youtube and watched some videos how to braid hair.

I am not sure how those ultimate girly-girls do it, but it is not as easy to braid hair around your head as it might seem...

Anyway, I have tried twice (that is how patient and dedicated I am...) and I think that braiding should be recommended as a type of arm workout, my muscles were in pain... 

I've actually managed to made a braid... 

...but...

first of all it seems like my hair are not cut well enough to sweetly fade into cute thin braid and I of course haven't succeed completely 

and what most important I do not have any enthusiasm left for this hairstyle as for today so I need new not-braid like idea. 

(Of course some competitive part of me thinks that I will be back to try again this braid-challenge... I know myself long enough to know that it is true but it won't be anytime soon...)

It is 10:30 am I have an idea for my hair but it demands small shopping...

bus stories 3

At the bus stop.

I was sitting in a bus and people were coming in.

First came a boy.

He had a coffee in his hand, the bus driver said to him that he cannot have it (drinks are forbidden at Odense buses). But the boy explained that he didn't know and that he just bought it.

He was very polite and convincing enough because the driver lets him in with a coffee.

As a second person came someone (not important for the story).

As a third came a girl.

She also had a coffee, driver teased her a bit but let her in probably assuming she was together with the boy that convinced him to enter a bus and keep a coffee 'this time' (she was with that boy).

A minute later we still were waiting on a bus stop and...

Two girls came in.

Both of them had a coffee. Bus driver told them that it is forbidden and that when he breaks coffee will be on them or on the floor.
Girls looked at the signs on the bus door one one of them specifically forbids coffee... They said it is fair enough and they stepped out to finish their coffees.

After half a minute the bus left without girls...

LONDON mostly against the sun

 That was a lot of walking...

... but I am glad for all I saw that day because ...

... the other days weren't so pretty.

New Year's Eve 2013/2014

I have spend the last week of 2013 or first week of 2014 in LONDON, England!

I went to Amico Bio - Italian vegetarian restaurant and had wonderful time, although I wouldn't recommend their food. They have nice and pleasant service and the atmosphere of the place is great too.

Then I saw fireworks at midnight over the River Thames near London Eye, the show was impressive! And I felt happy about the moment of entering new year. It was rainy, and it was time for me to get out of centrum of London.

It is very hard to get back home in London after parties like New Year's Eve. Tube is overcrowded and some buses might not be driving. Tube was free but some stations have been closed done at some points at night to reopen again when crowd got smaller.

Finding a free taxi was almost impossible it took around 30-40 mim.

It was an adventure but if I am ever coming back to London for New Year's Eve I am gonna book a hotel near place I am partying, no more "trips" on busy nights like that.

Anyway, after 2h of "city-trip adventure" in a rain me and my fiance made it to a private house party and had a lot of fun until morning. 

Mostly drinking tea and singing along guitar concerts given by my fiance and others.

My evening was as awesome and as intensive as my year 2013!

Multiverse in Adventure Time

Adventure Time is a very nice cartoon .
It seem random and crazy, but very often hits you with serious life stuff.
Can be equally enjoyed by kids and adults.

It is definitely my favorite cartoon at the moment, I highly recommend it!

As a physics student I couldn't help getting super happy when in this cartoon I saw an explanation of Multiverse.

late autumn

I do not like biking, and it is super cold now in Denmark, but the path to my university (University of Southern Denmark) is very beautiful at any time of the year. Especially on sunny days :)

clean on thursdays

Until recently I was doing weekly cleaning of my apartment on Saturdays.

Saturday makes sense especially if you from Catholic family. Sunday is a day you go to Church and you cannot work, and other days are working days, so there is only Saturday left for home duties.

But what about other week days are they really out of discussion?

I have discovered and I am sharing with you that there is no better day than Thursday for home duties and cleaning.

WHY Thursday?

Here are my arguments:

Monday is tough enough no extra duties are needed to make this day challenging.

Tuesday as for me a movie night if I have no homework, because tickets are half price.

Wednesday well one could actually clean on Wednesday but what for? You clean and then it won't be anymore visible on Friday.

Friday - no way!! Cleaning after whole week of working? Cleaning on a party-evening? Friday is a bad idea unless it is emergency or special situation, but that can be said about any other week day.

Saturday - well wouldn't it be nice to wake up on Saturday without a thought that you have to clean? I also think that when you clean on Saturday it basically steals the whole day, because you do have a whole day and because you lazy and slow, because it is weekend. I think it is time to change this nightmare.

Sunday - well I do not go to Church but I am definitely sold for - no work on Sunday attitude.

Golden Thursday:
Because there is no better day!
Because it will bring Saturdays back to life!
Because you worth it!
